Salamander 16

The Salamander 16 world boss event is has been active for a couple days now. Unfortunately, the Salamander 16 is very much like the Omegs 09 and Valkyrie 77 events...

Salamander 16

The Salamander 16 world boss event is no different than Omega 09 and Valkarie 77. It's an opponent that builds up an extremely large amount of health very quickly. Even with a lineup of maxed out legendary hybrid or vip creatures, it's difficult to get to even level 4 or 5. So, in my opinion, it's little more than a discouraging battle event that offers little reward. Playing with 3 maxed ostaposaurus hybrids I achieved level 4, barely. The prize? A measley 54 DNA. With 3 maxed out VIP pterosaurs, I didn't even hit level 4 and won 51 DNA.

So, as I said, any real progress is difficult to achieve and you win next to nothing for what little progress you do make. So in that sense, this event, much like its preceeding omega and valkyrie events, offers no incentive to play. That being said, the communal prize for the event appears it'll be worth while for anybody trying to strengthen their legendary army of creatures, so in that sense I'd say it MIGHT be worth playing.... that is until we take into consideration that the communal damage counter is obviously rigged, still. Past events were believed to be fixed and/or predetermined in many people's opinion, including mine. However, there does appear to be hope for the Salamander 16 event, as of this point it appears that communal damage goal might actually be reached.

All things considered, even playing on my unhacked account, the stupid salamander "boss" is just too discouraging to waste my time on and the DNA rewards are so minuscule that, again, it is nothing more than a waste of my time. I wish Ludia would just scrap this whole world event boss idea. If anything, it may have been a good idea, but it was so poorly executed from the start that it has been ruined. Obviously we are all entitled to our own opinions, that's just mine. Feel free to share yours in the comments section below.

Wow! 17 million DNA, LOL! I did play once with a hacked amphibian, I think it was against the first Omega 09, and I went all the way to level 99, but maybe I didn't make it strong enough so it would be a lot of damage (I was just thinking about making to level 99 and not about doing a ridiculous damage).

I'm even checking here, it was actually against 99 T-Rexes and the goal was 52,4 million knockouts (not a damage goal). So I did just 99 which was the maximum. Got only 2,135 DNA. And it was really boring, took me over an hour. But anyway, yeah, as you could check for yourself, and I saw on YouTube, people had been doing a lot of damage to Omega, Salamander and that bird, which shows the counter is rigged without a doubt. Anyway, next time I'll try to make it even stronger, so I can make a damage of hundreds of millions in just one attack, just to see how much DNA I can get.

I agree, it would be a major improvement if the world boss gained its strength gradually. If it doubled its strength every 10 levels as opposed to every level it would give people the opportunity to advance and want to work to better their score. I barely reached level 4 and the level 4 salamander finished me off on its first turn, and my prize was like 54 DNA. I played after doing the hack you mentioned seeing on youtube and at when the salamander was at level 42 I got bored with it and gave up. I took a screenshot of the results but must have deleted it unknowingly because I can't find it now. It showed the communal counter at 700,000,000 damage dealt and my high score as being 1,200,000,000. Just like you said, it's undenyable proof that the counter remains rigged. On a side note my prize was 17,000,000 DNA and the salamander quits doubling its strength at like level 10. Its health & attack remain the same for each level after that. Still, Ludia needs to rethink these world boss events and make some changes.

I agree, this event is worthless. We did get the prize, but it was no fun to play. I played once and got to level 3 or 4, than never played again. Maybe they could fix it so the boss's health would improve slower, instead of doubling each time. I remember there were events where you had to kill 99 T-Rexes or Velociraptors, the first few were weak (like level 5, 7, 10, 12, 15 and so on), then you got to level 40 and it wouldn't change, they would be "normal" level 40 until number 99, so with the right strategy it was possible to go pretty far and kill maybe 20 of them or more (in the case of Raptors). That was a little better. The bosses could keep increasing, but slower. It's no fun at all if, with the strongest hybrids or VIPs, at level 4 I'm not able to kill the boss even with 8 attacks. And if I attack with 8 I'm easily destroyed in his next turn.

About the rigged counter: yes, I've seen videos on YouTube where they hack an Indominus or something else to level 999 or 999,999, one of them hit 3.5 BILLION damage (he did get a lot of DNA, over a million), so the goal should have easily been reached in the first day (which wouldn't be fair since people were using hacks - but still, this shows the counter doesn't really count anything, it's just up to Ludia to DECIDE whether we'll get the reward pack or not).

Hey Monica. One thing 'fishy' that I noticed with the communal damage counter this time is something you had pointed out a while back... it's rate of increase was consistantly the same. The other red flag was the instance where my own personal high score was greater than that of the communal counter. I had snapped a screenshot of it, but I can't seem to find it now.

Regardless if ithe counter is rigged of not, the inescapeable fact is that world bosses are just exceedingly strong and Ludia needs to rethink the "world boss event" mechanics. If the average player were able to reach something like level 15 or 20, it would give them more incentive to want to try and reach another level. To me it just has no appeal when the damn thing has so much health at level 4 it becomes near impossible to reach even 1 level higher.

That being said, it was nice to see that the latest communial damage goals were set lower for Omega 09, Valkarie 77 and the new Salamander 16. Making the goals achievable is a step in the right direction, but these events still have plenty of room to improve.

I completely agree with your opinion on the world event boss fights. They're hardly worth fighting, since they gain far too much health far too quickly. Anyone who doesn't have maxed legendary hybrids and/or VIP creatures is highly unlikely to beat multiple boss levels, which really sucks.

There's also the matter of the communal damage counter being rigged. Though I have to ask; how was the damage counter rigged for the Salamander 16 event. I never saw my high score decrease, as you did for the first Valkyrie 77 event. So I'm wondering what's going on this time.

The one bright side, though, is that Ludia actually made the communal damage goal reachable this time (and it was reached). And they also did the same for the re-releases of the Omega 09 and Valkyrie 77. It's good to actually get the card pack prize, though that alone doesn't address all the other issues you brought up.

Overall, I think Ludia really needs to overhaul the world event bosses, or scrap the idea. Because it's not worth playing in an event that's obviously rigged.
